The Department of Social Protection required AKGraphics to take a text heavy statistical annual report and a year’s worth of figures and information, and both organise and illustrate them into an easy-to-read solution for their 2014 Annual Report. The Department requested an illustrated infographic that portrayed a logical story, which loosely represented the circle of life, moving from young to old.
As well as the annual report design requirements, they needed online graphic design services for their website using simply illustrated, user-friendly infographics that contained text and minimal icons of fifteen individual statistics and data about the Department of Social Protection.
From phone calls and an informative meeting with the client, a friendly natural community scene was decided on for the large A3 infographic illustration. Bright eye catching colours, uncomplicated simple illustrations and a clear movement through the artwork showed an outdoor scene that made technical and formal statistics effortless to read and understand.
The individually designed statistics used big, bold, vibrant text and simple icons ranging in size and composition that are eye-catching and stand out on screen.
