The team here at AKGraphics were asked to come up with a company rebrand design for Ormonde Machinery Ltd. Ormonde Machinery is a leading supplier of quality construction mining, quarrying and recycling equipment. The company supplies a broad range of equipment to satisfy the demands of a growing customer base both within Ireland and overseas.
The new identity design had to by dynamic and communicate the mechanical aspects of the business. Our logo rebrand could be adapted to be used on both a black background and a white background. The bold, capitalised font communicates that the company is strong, with the triangles complimenting the design with a mechanical element. This company rebrand has since been adapted to corporate stationery, signage, promotional clothing, adverts, various trade show graphics material, large promotional stickers for use on the machines, and vehicle graphics.
The stationary above was designed using the new identity design for Ormonde Machinery, again strong bold colours to make Ormonde Machinery stand out from its competitors. This stationary design included letterheads, compliment slips and double sided business cards. The stationary design was coherent with the new brand guidelines which were also set by AKGraphics. Graphic headers was also supplied to Ormonde Machinery for various social media platforms also.
Advert designs followed shortly after, to promote the Ormonde Machinery service and main dealers offerings. These advertising designs also followed the brand guidelines and adopted a new style which kept the overall look of the Ormande Machinery rebrand.
The next step was to brand the Ormonde Machinery Technical Support vehicle, which travels nationwide throughout Ireland. Our logo design was applied to the vehicle along with contact details and the web address designed in the new Ormonde Machinery style. The photographs above show our custom vehicle graphics applied.
A large service sticker design followed the vehicle graphics. This had to be visible from a distance and also follow the new brand guidelines for the Ormonde Machinery rebrand. Again a great use of daily advertising for Ormonde Machinery to promote the service offering and the website.
The Ormonde Machinery staff also required promotional clothing for various outdoor and indoor trade shows. Trade show graphics also consisted of pull up banners, signage, flags and other promotional material.

Our graphic design services include vehicle graphic design.
One of the best places to get yourself noticed is on the road. GAIN Feeds asked us here at AKGraphics to design custom trailer graphics for their trucks. These custom livery graphics had to be big enough to catch a persons attention and had to get the message across instantly.
The artwork had to be designed to the critical dimensions of the custom trailer built by Muldoon Transport Systems. This meant that our trailer design had to allow for port holes, cover and strap positions. Our trailer graphics were adapted to suit these restrictions.
The overall design uses a combination of photography, illustration and typography. Using icons to inform your customers of your product range can have a better impact than text. This is why we decided to use illustrations of animals.

Logo design is a critical aspect of marketing your business and your brand. A logo anchors a company’s brand and becomes the single most visible manifestation of the company within the target market. TerraFirma Training were looking for a dynamic logo design to suit their innovative way of training for the varied vehicle based training courses on offer. Our corporate identity design for Terrafirma Training came from an abstract interpretation of the treads of a tyre, a two colour identity that brands well in all aspects of marketing.
This adaptive identity design works on both a black background and a white background which allowed the logo to be applied to vehicle graphics, stationery, on clothing and digitally via web.
Vehicle graphics are a brilliant and effective way to get your business noticed. The TerraFirma Training branding is very striking and stands out on training vehicles very clearly even in the mud! (Photograph by Graig Dutton)
When setting up a business you might require a uniform to help your staff stand out from customers. The brand identity for TerraFirma Training can be reproduced through embroidery, this can be easily applied to jackets, jumpers, uniforms, hats, trousers, etc. Promotional clothing is great tool for use at trade shows, on-site, for reps. or as a branded uniform for Terrafirma Training in action in those muddy and wet conditions!
We have also designed an eCommerce website for TerraFirma Training which will be going live very soon…..

Infographic design for a Table Talker for Aut Even Hospital
Table talkers are a very popular promotional Point of Sale (POS) advertising device in restaurants. Table talkers have the advantage of close proximity to customers when they take a seat and consider what to eat.
Although most commonly found in cafes and bars these promotional items are not limited to the food industry. They can be used to great advantage in the hospitality industry, travel agencies, pharmaceutical, financial services and even medical industries as seen in this design project for Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny.
Sometimes an informational flyer will not have the impact required, in these cases a table talker is a great alternative promotional tool. This is also evident at large conferences, trade shows and events.
Aut Even Hospital required a printed item that would explain to patients why they are repeatedly asked to confirm their identity in the hospital. The process of confirming a patient’s details is necessary in the hospital and the design for the table talker had to convey this in a clear way.
By designing custom infographics the finished design for the table talker was clear and engaging. The use of bold colours also helped to ensure the design was eye-catching and appealing.
More common uses for table talkers are for special offers, events, food and drink menus in bars, restaurants and cafes. Due to the ability for table talkers to instantly deliver your promotional message, they are very effective at instant communication for any target market.

Using a cleverly designed podium to hold and display your tablet at tradeshows creates an easy, clean and professional way to present your specific products or services. By changing the top the same podium can also be used as a competition box or simply used as a meeting point or display table. The podium itself is lightweight, easy to assemble and gives a huge opportunity and space to apply your company or business branding. All artwork is easy and quick to change meaning you can keep the one podium and change the design as often as you like. Call us if you require more information!
Here at AKGraphics we’d more than likely refer to them all as ‘Identities’ from Coporate, Visual or Personal but interestingly enough the article breaks it down further to Logo, Symbol and Combination marks.
If you’re interested in knowing what the difference really is it’s worth a read!
