Tourist Attraction Brochure Design with Map
AKGraphics were asked to design a guide for visitors to Kilfane Glen and Waterfall. Kilfane Glen and Waterfall is located in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. The beautiful restored period garden is listed as an Irish Heritage garden. In total it covers about 15 acres of easily accessible natural landscape. Untouched for 200 years, it is a picturesque paradise with a waterfall tumbling its way to a rushing stream and woodland paths leading to a cottage orné.The custom designed guide for Kilfane Glen and Waterfall is a double-sided printed sheet folded to have 6 sections. The aim of this leaflet design was to create a helpful guide that would enhance the experience of visiting the garden. On one side is a hand illustrated map which was supplied to us by the client. On the other side is information about the garden and its history. It is concertina folded and then folded in half into a square. It is designed to be the perfect size to carry with you as you walk and explore the gardens. The hand drawn map features 9 specific points with information about each area. All the paths put together add up to about a mile and there is a lot to see along the way. A frog pond, moon garden, waterfall, stone stairs, and the Cottage orné to name a few. Each of the points are clearly marked on the map and there is a trail marked with red arrows indicating the direction to walk, ensuring you see all the area has to offer. The guide is printed on high-quality uncoated paper stock.
